How do you change the negative perception of graduates from the Faculty of Humanities – that some parts of the public hold – and their alleged lack of competences and jobs? In addition, what do you do when this negative perception actually starts to influence the students themselves?

At UCPH, we faced that challenge, when we decided to take action last spring. The first step was relatively simple: We decided to throw away the negative image and instead show our students and surroundings a more positive picture. Literally.

The exhibit “Her er humanisterne” shows 40 graduates from the Faculty of Humanities that share their experiences regarding jobs and general career and study advice. This presentation will delve deeper into how exactly we handled this exhibition and project, and which results it yielded.
