Strategic communication is evolving fast as a field of knowledge and practice. In this presentation current trends in research and practice will be introduced, as well as ideas of new working ways for professionals and departments – inspired by ideas focusing strategic improvisation and the communicative organization.

What I Do
Jesper Falkheimer, Ph.D. is professor in Strategic Communication at Lund University, Sweden. He has combined research with management positions for many years and was until 2020 Head for Division for Research, Collaboration and Innovation at Lund University. Falkheimer is editor-in-chief of Journal of Communication Management, Professor II at Kristiania University College, Oslo, Honorary Professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a member of several boards, such as at European Public Relations Education and Research Association and University College Halmstad, is associated as senior advisor at the communication agency Gullers Grupp AB and has over 130 publications on his list. 2022 he and co-author Mats Heide publish the 2nd edition of Strategic Communicaton: an Introduction to Theory and Global Practice (Routledge), as well as Research Handbook of Strategic Communication (Edward Elgar).
